Research Essentials Online is a new Blackboard course for postgraduate researchers at the University of Leicester. This site provides PGRs with a variety of learning resources to support you during your candidature.   You will find both discipline specific as well as transferable skills resources here.  Videos and slides from the thesis forums held last term can be also be found on this site. New researchers will be introduced to the resource during the Graduate School induction on 2 October. The course should be accessible by all PGRs, but please email apu@le.ac.uk if you have any difficulties.

Our group for the Graduate School Reading Room is moving to a page, bringing us in line with other University organisations. Our page will bring you news and events relevant to the postgraduate community at Leicester. There will also be top tips courtesy of some PhD blogs. So, come over and like us! Where can I find the page? Use the main search box on Facebook to find the 'Graduate School Reading Room' page . Once you have 'liked' us, the page will appear in your pages section. To find this, visit your timeline and look for the 'Likes' tab (next to your Friends and Photos tabs). If you click here you will find all the pages to which you are currently subscribed.
