EndNote Update

We currently have a site license for EndNote at the University of Leicester: this allows EndNote to be installed on any University owned machine and we are currently running EndNote X5 on our network. Thesis forum: 'Finishing the PhD and beyond'

In May the thesis forum welcomed three speakers who shared their experience of completing the PhD and life on the other side. This was our second webinar (via Adobe Connect) and once again we welcomed a good number of off-campus students. 1,500 PhD eTheses & another 2000 coming soon!

Since 2008 University of Leicester PhD students have submitted an electronic version of their thesis (eThesis) alongside their print thesis, and these eTheses can be accessed via the Leicester Research Archive (LRA). We're pleased to announce that we recently added the 1,500th electronic thesis to the LRA. To access the eTheses just go to the Leicester Research Archive - then search, browse the theses collection or browse by College. Theses are some of the most heavily used items in the Leicester Research Archive – making the work of Leicester PhD students visible to a large audience. For example our most accessed eThesis, and also the sixth most accessed item in the LRA, is: Boutsikas, Efrosyni. Astronomy and ancient Greek cult : an application of archaeoastronomy to Greek religious architecture, cosmologies and landscapes , 2007, University of Leicester. This eThesis has been accessed 224 times, whereas the print version hasn't been accessed at all - showing tha...
